As a Salt Lake native, Dr. Jared W. Parker is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract and refractive surgery, as well as the treatment of diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and glaucoma. Before returning to Utah, Dr. Parker held teaching appointments as a clinical instructor at the University of Michigan and the Ann Arbor Veterans Hospital. Dr. Parker's Experience

Dr. Parker received his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine, and completed his residency training in Ophthalmology at the Kellogg Eye Center of the University of Michigan, where he received the Walter R. Parker Resident Teaching Award.

Throughout his medical training and practice experience, Dr. Parker’s work has appeared in several publications, presentations and research endeavors. He has also donated his time and services to several organizations including guiding young students interested in a career of medicine and performing free eye examinations at community health fairs. Dr. Parker is fluent in Spanish.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Parker at Ungricht Parker Eye Associates for years now, and what keeps us going back is the care we get and the friendliness of every employee there . Dr. Parker is so thorough with his exams, making sure that nothing is over looked and that any eye problems we have had are taken care of. They also make sure that we are up to date on all of our eye exams, and making sure we have the correct contacts/eye wear. The front desk staff is so friendly I feel like they know me and my family so well, and when I come in without my kids, they ask all about them. Every time I go there it is a pleasant experience, but also one that I know that I am being well taken care of.
