Dr. Thomas E. Gayer, O.D.

Dr. Thomas E. Gayer is a highly skilled and experienced optometrist providing comprehensive eye care services, as well as specialized treatment of ocular disease, keratoconus and difficult-to-fit contact lenses. Dr. Gayer has practiced with Parker Murri Vision since 1993.

Dr. Gayer's Experience
Dr. Gayer received both his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees from Indiana University and completed his residency training in Primary Care at Illinois Eye Institute, where he completed advanced clinical rotations in Contact Lenses, General Ophthalmology, Glaucoma, Retina, and Urgent Eye Care services.
Throughout his extensive optometric career, Dr. Gayer has specialized in comprehensive eye care, ocular disease treatment, keratoconus management, and specialty contact lens fitting. Prior to joining Parker Murri Vision in 1993, he served at several respected eye care clinics including Walker Eye Clinic in Indianapolis and the Indiana University Contact Lens Research Clinic.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Gayer previously served as a Contact Lens Associate Instructor at Indiana University and remains actively involved in providing patient-focused vision care and specialty contact lens treatment.
In addition, Dr. Gayer is involved with several professional organizations including:
- The American Optometric Association
- The Utah Optometric Association
